At Wandi Nerida, our purpose is to provide a supportive therapeutic space to change the experience of those affected by eating disorders. About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Recovery Navigators, whose primary purpose at Wandi is to intensively support and guide participants admitted to the facility to navigate the program and ultimately facilitate recovery. This role is responsible for much of the daily client interaction, which includes the portioning of food in the kitchen, meal support, bathroom observations and assisting in therapeutic program activities.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Work collaboratively with the Wandi Nerida Team to help establish trust and rapport with participants in the recovery treatment program.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of clinical interventions relevant to participants
  • Assist in the co-facilitation of group programs, including delivery of education and awareness activities.
  • Assist with keeping accurate and up to date records of attendance at support groups and programs facilitated.
  • Portioning and eating meals with participants

We recognise the value of staff with lived experience to instil hope post eating disorder recovery. Therefore, we encourage applications from people with lived experience of eating disorders (at least 2 years recovered), and family member/carers of people with eating disorders.
